  • The Astrology of Cults, UFOs, and Alien Abductions

The Astrology of Cults, UFOs, and Alien Abductions

Acyuta Bhava (Adam Elenbaas of Nightlight Astrology) has a brand new video out about the astrological significances shared with famous cults, UFO sightings, and even alien abductions that all made the headlines. He covers Heaven’s Gate, Stalinism, the famous Betty and Barney Hill case, Carl Sagan’s orginal Cosmos series, even Nike’s Air Jordan logo.

This video is the 4th in a series he put out on the Grand Conjunction of the planets Jupiter and Saturn, in the sign of Aquarius. You know a 4 part series is gonna be a deep dive, and Acyuta really delivers when it comes to explaining the importance of certain transits for astrology beginners out there, but also brings the heady/good shit for those viewers who’ve already tapped into the insights that a knowledgeable basis of astrology can bring.

You can find Acyuta’s work on his YouTube channel , or at his website.

  • Ouija Sessions with Mary

    Ouija Sessions with Mary

I discovered a guy in a hidden subreddit who’s been keeping written notes and videotaping his Ouija board sessions with an entity calling itself “Mary”.

Mary details the ins and outs of the universe, covering quite a lot of surprising ground. Not gonna lie … sometimes it reads like a transcript of an irritated 10 year old’s futile attempts to describe the basic construction of a multidimensional reality in a mmp game to its grand parents. At other times, though, it is weirdly insightful, giving out just the information that you’d want an extra dimensional being to be able to tell you.

  • Hacking Dumberly

    Hacking Dumberly

Fun talk by Tim Medin of Red Siege Security on trying the dumb hacks first before going all advanced zero day. Good advice, and remember if it’s stupid but it works, it might not be stupid.

  • Deepfake! Deepfaaake!

    Deepfake! Deepfaaake!

From South Park’s Trey Parker & Matt Stone w/ Peter Serafinowicz of Look Around You, comes this latest bit of absurdism and satire. Originally conceived as a movie, it was regrettably derailed by the pandemic and now exists as a great youtube short. Check it out.

  • Rock & Rule

    Rock & Rule

Anyone else catch this on T.V. as a kid in the 80s? Given the nature of broadcast programming back then, I never knew what the actual show I was watching was called, but I managed to catch it twice, and Mok’s theme song has always stuck with me. I was today years old when I found out this was actually Lou Reed. It looks like there’s a somewhat restored version floating around the webs, but tragically the first version’s audio and video were neglected, so in the video above, the is a stark shift in quality. Enjoy, and watch out for that Mok guy, he’s kind of a POS.

  • Bad Religion is Still the Best Band

Bad Religion is Still the Best Band

Look, it isn’t their best banger, but It hits me right now as I cry about my misspent youth and not finding the way. Bad Religion is correct(at least more correct than most) Take a watch and let the young punker stand-in for your fears

  • Two Minutes To Late Night

    Two Minutes To Late Night

Just discovered this youtube channel Two Minutes To Late Night and they are putting out some bangers. Evidently they’ve been putting together a pandemic series of bedroom covers featuring some of the biggest names in metal and rock for awhile and the covers are siiick! Also, probably no small coincidence that the Ozzy cover above debuted on Crowleymas of all days. Enjoy

  • The Bug Hunter’s Methodology V4

    The Bug Hunter’s Methodology V4

Since I am participating in Bugcrowd’s October Challenge Month I thought I would present to you the ever awesome @jhaddix’s bug hunter methodology talk from this year’s DefCon Red Team Villiage. He’s been giving and revising this talk for many years and this is an awesome version. As I work on my own project fro the challenge, I am just following along with the methods in the video, and it’s really upped my recon game. Supposedly there’s a second part of the talk on application testing, but I haven’t been able to find it yet. Word to the wise, if you want to get into bug bounty, follow Jason Haddix closely.

  • Texas Folk Punk

    Texas Folk Punk

Thanks to my friend not-Stuart, I’ve been introduced to these darlings of the Houston folk-punk scene and am going down the rabbit hole of projects that this cast of characters produces. Jesse Sendejas, the singer-guitarist has bands ranging from the popular Days N Daze to straight up punk outfit Decathect. Give-em a listen and maybe throw a few bucks to their bandcamp. They look like they could use it. Side note, I’m glad they’ve got a leftover crack shirt in the video above, since it sounds like Jesse is the hobo version of lead singer Scott Sturgeon and it looks like they had a tour together last year. Hope I can catch that show next time.

  • New Stuff in Ska

    New Stuff in Ska

Starting to hear some buzz about stuff getting hot in the DIY ska scene. Particularly about Bad Time Records and the new music they are putting out including their new Ska Against Racism comp. Here I’m going to feature Catbite, which is my favorite new band off their label, but check out a bunch, this might become fourth-wave ska.
