  • AfterSkool with Randall Carlson

    AfterSkool with Randall Carlson

I noticed the other day that the YouTube channel AfterSkool had created a condensed version of Randall Carlson’s work, and thought you’d appreciate it. Watch that new video featuring Randall Carlson and his work here.

I had the opportunity to see Randall Carlson in Minneapolis, back in 2014, at the (now defunct) Paradigm Symposium . The lecture he gave was exciting, rife with geology, the occult traditions, semiotics, myths and legends and more. He really encouraged the audience to look at human history from a perspective using modern science and technology to unravel ancient tales and symbols in order to understand ancient human experiences, and apply them to our future understanding of the world around us.

However, not everyone agrees, of course. A quick Google search of his name immediately brings up everything from questions of his sanity to the breadth and depth of his actual knowledge, and all the Joe Rogan pocasts he’s been on, including the 3 episodes he did with the writer Graham Hancock.

You can find Randall’s website here, his old YouTube channel GeoCosmic Rex there, and his new YT channel, plus his podcast ‘Kosmographia’ here.

  • The Astrology of Cults, UFOs, and Alien Abductions

The Astrology of Cults, UFOs, and Alien Abductions

Acyuta Bhava (Adam Elenbaas of Nightlight Astrology) has a brand new video out about the astrological significances shared with famous cults, UFO sightings, and even alien abductions that all made the headlines. He covers Heaven’s Gate, Stalinism, the famous Betty and Barney Hill case, Carl Sagan’s orginal Cosmos series, even Nike’s Air Jordan logo.

This video is the 4th in a series he put out on the Grand Conjunction of the planets Jupiter and Saturn, in the sign of Aquarius. You know a 4 part series is gonna be a deep dive, and Acyuta really delivers when it comes to explaining the importance of certain transits for astrology beginners out there, but also brings the heady/good shit for those viewers who’ve already tapped into the insights that a knowledgeable basis of astrology can bring.

You can find Acyuta’s work on his YouTube channel , or at his website.

    The Clickable Kabballah

Another great tarot resource I’ve come across today, via the moderator of the Thoth tarot FB group I’m a member of is this clickable Kabbalah diagram at https://nofaithinthehumanrace.com/777/index.php?deck=crowley&show777=1&key=1

An interactive diagram of the Tree of Life, it will show the placement of the cards upon the tree, and give an in-depth overview of the cards and their meanings. I’ll be consulting this site daily as we work through the rest of the Trumps in our tarot series. Thanks to Bart Deleplanque

Robert M. Place on the Synchronicity Podcast

In looking for more background on alchemy and tarot I stumbled upon this podcast with Robert M. Place the originator of the Alchemical Tarot deck. An accomplished historian of the tarot, he goes into a lot of detail about how the tarot can be an alchemical manual, despite not being the ancient work of wisdom that some occultists believed. It’s a 2 hour program, but if you’ve got some time dive in, it is informative.

  • Well It’s Time To Tell An Unusual Truth

Well It’s Time To Tell An Unusual Truth

This is going to be my most difficult post to date and I really hope it receives enough attention because this is very important. Something very weird is going on. This is extremely hard to talk about, and it’s made worse by the fact that I have been mentally ill, and while delusional, I have definitely said things that turned out later not to be true. My credibility is strained by that fact and this story is so wild, that it will require a complete reevaluation of reality by anyone accepting enough to take in the full breadth of it. It’s going to make me sound stupid and insane, and there’s definitely material in the psychiatric clinical literature, that would make it sound like a symptom of mental illness. What I am going to tell you is not delusion, especially not delusions of grandeur, and it is also not ideas of reference, like when a psychotic person thinks the T.V. or radio is talking to them. This is a relation of a truly bizarre lived experience, and I reach out to the reader only because I’ve not been able to talk about it in any kind of meaningful way, and a therapist would instantly judge the experience as evidence of insanity. I have avoided therapy for precisely this reason. I have hidden this experience because it requires admissions of guilt, including a fair amount of extremely bad behavior on my part, and I am truly unable to speak about the parts that implicate other people. Are you ready for a wild revelation without any solution? Well here, let’s go.

Starting from the time when I was about 10 or 11 years old, a leading Hollywood actor has been portraying all of my moral and ethical failings on the screen. Hundreds of millions of people have watched these movies, including major blockbusters, so everyone I have ever met is familiar with my story and its details, in a very warped and twisted form, but would not be able to connect it to me. These movies aren’t my story, and they seem to exist only to mock and harass me for every lie I’ve ever told, everything I’ve ever done wrong, and every time I’ve hurt someone. I have no idea how it’s happening. Is it aliens? The CIA? Do I have a bug implanted inside me somewhere? I have gone through hundreds of scenarios in my head as to how the details of my life keep ending up in this actor’s movies and why? The answer is I don’t know, but time and time again, spanning about 60 movies, some games and comic books, even some cartoons, the things I do wrong, are twisted into details of the hero’s story and used as positive plot points in his adventures, when for me they were just something I know I did that wasn’t ethically acceptable. My experience is something akin to the Truman Show with no exits. I’ll never find the cameras, and I’ll never discover the show because there truly aren’t any.

Drumroll please…the actor is Keanu Reeves. I know that makes it even harder to take this in, as he’s been huge, and is widely reported as being a super nice and down-to-earth guy, but his entire career has been at least partially based on mocking and criticizing me. I’m just some dumbass half-disabled kid from rural Idaho, I don’t know why or how it happens. And if anyone else has had any kind of a similar experience, I’d like to try and sort this out, but there it is. Internet boyfriend Keanu Reeves has spent his entire career harassing some nobody for God knows what reason. The fact that it started when I was a child makes it all the more bizarre. Who has any interest in me? The man is a corporation unto himself and has had more winners than most actors will ever have, but this is how my life is. One or two times a year, a big Keanu movie will pop up, and look, there I am again, getting roasted by the Hollywood machine.

Some of the movies are more subtle when taking the piss, some of them are more accurate like beat for beat that’s almost exactly what happened. The red pill scene from the Matrix, yeah that actually happened. The blow-job from Generation Umm, yep, that was me. Both Bill and Ted’s and My Own Private Idaho were from a childhood homosexual experience, and John Wick was a psychotic rage where I ended up in jail. The sequels for any of his franchise movies are less spot-on, but the initial films, and even ensemble films he’s been in all contain plot points that directly mock when I’ve been a jackass (every single one). I don’t know what to do. The guy functions as my Jiminy Cricket. He’s an external conscience that reinforces my own guilt about the things I’ve done but is no help in actually avoiding being bad in the first place. I know that, no matter what the mechanism for this content ending up in his movies and being reflected back at me is, somewhere along the line, it has to involve the Devil. The whole thing is so evil, and such a power beyond what I am able to match, that somehow supernatural forces have to be at work. Whether this is a human element like a 3-letter agency controlling the content of his films, or something much more profoundly bizarre, at root this is a direct attack upon my person by an actual devil, demon, or demi-urge.

So, the Devil is on my ass, and I’m asking the reader for help. If this somehow makes it out there into the visible Universe, and someone else has had this story please reach out. If you can unravel the mechanism of the absolutely insane violations of my privacy, or if you can connect me with the man himself please help. I’ve been dealing with this on my own for 34 years, knowing that no one will be able to understand, or take the story seriously, and believe me I know how hard this is to take. This is not a work of fiction or speculation, this is a real person involved in a struggle with a bizarre reality that no one else can understand. I thank you for your time, and please don’t @ me with psychiatric solutions, because like I’ve stated, I am familiar with delusions, and this ain’t that. See you in the movies.

Edit: A friend has rightfully pointed out, that because the story sounds so far fetched that I should be developing the thesis more, by providing more examples. He is correct, and more examples will be forthcoming, but it’s going to take some time to determine which incidents I am actually willing to talk about because of the guilt and shame surrounding the events. Please be patient, and I will likely return with some kind of list format of a number of incidents.

2nd Edit: this is a brief chart outlining some of the details from some of the movies that I’m talking about. It can’t be all-inclusive because the timeline’s too long, and I haven’t watched every movie he’s done. It’s not a random sample, but a sample of movies I either have in my collection or remember well enough to comment on. It ought to be a big enough sample to start proving my thesis.

  • The Promise and Failure of the Rosicrucians

The Promise and Failure of the Rosicrucians

One of the most interesting groups one comes across when delving into occult studies, and certainly one of the most compelling and influential was the movement known as the Rosicrucians. Or as can bee seen in this Wikipedia article, the many competing groups, orders, well meaning mythmakers, and outright charlatans composing the movement. The group has been everything from a coffee klatch of enlightenment scientists to a high ranking masonic degree, and later devolved into small secret societies of practicing occultists and mail-order initiatory societies. Due to its influence on the enlightenment and through its masonic connections, it could also be seen in the US Founding Fathers vision of a United States as most of those involved were all deists and masons.

The entrance of a perhaps mythical group of alchemist christian mystics into public consciousness was achieved with the publication of three manifestos in the early 17th century. Possibly well-intentioned hoaxes, they purported to reveal the existence of a secret order or invisible college of hermetic and christian alchemists possessing the secrets of the Universe as well as those of healing and perhaps immortality. As societal mores were changing, and free thought was becoming more prevalent, these manifestos offered an exciting and compelling worldview influenced by Kaballah and the writings of alchemists like Paracelsus.

Given their outsized influence on enlightenment thinkers in general as well as the Freemasons responsible for creating modern western governments, how have we ended up in this late-capitalism sci-fi dystopian hell world? They had the ideals, they had the power. The manifestos claimed that the group was actively seeking members, yet despite their most earnest fans creating group after group to venerate and promulgate their teachings, we have no public knowledge of an immortal group of transcendental philosophers offering access to the cosmos. Instead we have most recognizably, the A.M.O.R.C and the Order of The Golden Dawn, including all its offshoots which comprise most of the New Age and occult traditions.

The very compelling Rose-Cross symbol of the Golden Dawn

The symbol above is one of the densest compressions of occult knowledge and philosophy into one representative icon that has ever been unleashed upon the public. It invites one to years of study to uncover its meaning, and is the product of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn created by Macgregor Mathers. This order is directly and indirectly responsible for nearly all occult thinking and philosophy from the end of the 19th century until today, and was created in a hoax that clearly mimics the original manifestos of the 17th century Rosicrucians. Responsible for the occultism of both Aleister Crowley, and his one-time student Israel Regardie, many offshoots of this order exist today and I warn the reader study will become a rabbit hole of many years.

The museum at the A.M.O.R.C complex

Meanwhile the most visible “Rosicrucian” group in the U.S the A.M.O.R.C despite declines in membership and general public interest, claims to be the true re-revelation of the tradition. There’s nothing Ancient about them, but they do purport to convey the mystical. Starting as a mail order group, the founder H. Spencer Lewis was so enamored of his own revelations that he claimed in books to have secret knowledge of the life of Jesus, despite plagiarizing whole chapters of his book The Mystical Life Of Jesus from another crackpot. His Temple complex and museum are interesting, but the remaining organization would probably prefer you not mention their founder as a charlatan, despite his demonstrations of turning zinc into gold in front of a hand selected audience.

So where do we place and how do we categorize all this disparate esoteric knowledge and outright chicanery bequeathed to us by true scholars of religion and science who may also be con men? Unless a group of undying, gold-making, ancient philosophers reveals itself, the vast majority of this literature as well as their practices, should probably be regarded as crap. Perhaps tracing back some of the influences like Kabbalah and Greek alchemy might be helpful, but the mystical side of the Hebrew religion is somewhat inaccessible to outsiders, and the mythology of alchemy may outweigh the fact. I suggest that the reader enter any study of these topics skeptically and with caution, while recognizing there may be true bits of wisdom contained inside.

  • Indiscretions on the Path

    Indiscretions on the Path

Did you know that the Academy of Plato survived 2000 years beyond his death and beyond the materialism of Aristotle, and their focus was a mystical interpretation of the Master’s work? By all means dive into Iamblichus, Plotinus, and Porphyry for a full elucidation of Neoplatonism, but if you’d like to get a taste of Neoplatonic thought you can buy my book Indiscretions on the Path. • Plato’s Cave

    Plato’s Cave

Like many School of Life videos, the above is a great introduction to the story and background to what is known as the “Allegory” of Plato’s cave. I appreciate their effort, and love their work, but like most philosophy students steeped in western thinking they hear and see and mouth the words but pull back in fear, and make academic rationalizations about the exhortation to practice philosophy as the solution to our captivity. In the gentle, but not so socratic method outlined above, they settle on the teaching and practice of western philosophy as the intent of the story, and completely miss the point. The Neo-Platonic philosophers knew the answer and it is Find the Exits. Plato had been trying to convince people of the existence of a higher world and the particulars of the ideal forms that reside above. He knew he sounded like a lunatic, but luckily he was an interesting enough lunatic that people preserved his thoughts. The irony is that we remember his best effort at making this clear as an allegory, when it is a statement of absolute fact.

You are looking at the shadows projected from the higher reality, all the real and better stuff is behind you and you have no idea how to turn around and look because your perceptions are chained forward looking away from the source. It is the tragedy of philosophy that Plato could not leave a training program for escaping the cave, but instead just hinted that maybe you are not perceiving enough. The story is a treasure of the ages, but go further. The Kabbalists actually went there and drew a map if you are interested in getting closer to the truth. The map has hints and pictures, but in order to follow it you have to have a spiritual practice, not discourse in the town square. Turn your perception above and behind you. Everything in front of your eyes exists in the 4 lowest dimensions and through a trick of refraction the higher 6 dimensions appear invisible. They are not. Sit, meditate, and search inside your head for the bit of sunshine peeking in. Follow it out to freedom.

    Imagining the 10th Dimension

Thanks to Rob Bryanton, who is a super nice guy and intriguing author, the 10 dimensional model is accessible and clear. 10 dimensions and 22 paths is what the Kabbalists were trying to relate. Have a watch and get your mind straight.
