Thanks to my friend not-Stuart, I’ve been introduced to these darlings of the Houston folk-punk scene and am going down the rabbit hole of projects that this cast of characters produces. Jesse Sendejas, the singer-guitarist has bands ranging from the popular Days N Daze to straight up punk outfit Decathect. Give-em a listen and maybe throw a few bucks to their bandcamp. They look like they could use it. Side note, I’m glad they’ve got a leftover crack shirt in the video above, since it sounds like Jesse is the hobo version of lead singer Scott Sturgeon and it looks like they had a tour together last year. Hope I can catch that show next time.

New Stuff in Ska
Starting to hear some buzz about stuff getting hot in the DIY ska scene. Particularly about Bad Time Records and the new music they are putting out including their new Ska Against Racism comp. Here I’m going to feature Catbite, which is my favorite new band off their label, but check out a bunch, this might become fourth-wave ska.
