Oh lord this was one of the best shows of all time. Bring on the nostalgia feels.

Ka’Chava
Just ordered some superfood shakes from Ka’Chava. Seems like a pretty unique take on meal replacement and about the same pricing structure as most of the high-end shakes. I definitely need to lose some weight, and supposedly this starts in the kitchen. Meh, I’ll give it a try. If you order via my link, I may get a reward as well. Here’s to your health.
Update: Received my first bag and after 3 days ordered 2 more. It’s tasty and provides an energy boost, and keeps me from snacking during the day. The ingredient list is amazing, and I’m probably going to stay on this diet for a while. I can’t remember a time when I was consuming so many good nutrients and the carb count is low. Thanks Ka’Chava for creating a great product.

NoNo Man
Some rare gems of the 90’s should not be forgotten. One is Steven Jesse Berstein’s album Prison from legendary grunge label SubPop. Outlaw underground poetry with crime jazz remixes. I wonder if an album like this could happen today. This used to be the track on my alarm clock.

Neurological Benefits of Lion’s Mane
The verified health benefits of Lion’s Mane mushrooms is one of the reasons the west needs to step up their research in medicinal mushrooms. Of the millions of varieties of wild mushrooms only a handful have been adequately studied, and most of the promising research is coming from Asia, which already has a long history of medicinal mushroom use. Lion’s mane is a neurological tonic. Helping everything from dementia to anxiety and depression, it is also edible, and so low risk that everyone should be taking it. It also is the only thing besides cardiovascular exercise that has been proven to regrow damaged neurons. I personally buy Swanson brand supplements, because they’re cheaper and just as effective, but if you live in the Northeast, you could be harvesting your own. In the west there is a similar conifer coral hedgehog that has the same benefits, and is delicious. In this era of nootropics and smart drugs do yourself a favor and pick up a 10 dollar bottle of mushroom capsules and heal your brain.

The Art of Coop
Since I was a little skater kid and Coop got his first feature in Thrasher magazine I’ve been in love with his art. He’s still as prolific as ever and has some really cool webstores with all kinds of goodies:Caution NSFW (thankfully). As soon as this virus thing got out of hand, I went over to his threadless and picked up a mask. Follow his twitter @ARTofCOOP for the occasional bound and gagged photo from his retinue of busty bondage girls.

Ultralight and portable camp chair

The Campster Living in the mountains I am always on the lookout for new gear and this seems promising. An ultralight one-piece folding camp chair that packs to about the size of a water bottle. The price seems reasonable if you get it during their crowdfunding campaign and they’ve successfully shipped previous camp chair models. Check out their campaign video below.

Fatso Jetson in a Van
Fatso Jetson is one of those bands that’s been around forever, putting out solid albums in their own style and yet I never meet anyone who’s heard of them. They were known for playing “desert rock,” which would kind of place them with the much better known Meat Puppets, but probably sound wise more aligned with the Melvins and shared the psychedelic tag with the Butthole Surfers. Here they are rockin in a van, and it’s the first time I’ve ever seen what they look like playing live. Man I’d love to see these guys, tight and heavy as sludge.

Super sweet little EDC tool
Found this supersweet little multi-tool on my time line and they’ve already way surpassed their funding goal to get it made. Gotta get one.

Hobo With a Shotgun

Fun, funny, and gory. Perfect camp. While it’s not the speech at the end of Blade Runner, Hobo With a Shotgun is one of Rutger Hauer’s most enjoyable films. Post apocalyptic and campy with tons of blood and guts. If you liked Machete you’re probably going to like this one. You can watch it on Amazon Prime
